Are you passionate about shopping local, supporting smaller businesses and artists?  We are! So this year we searched for Indigenous owned shopping opportunities and wanted to share some of our favourites with you. 

Kitasoo/Xai’xais people have always been stewards of this land we now call The Great Bear Rainforest, they learned long ago that if you take care of the biosphere it will take care of you.

When tour operations went on hold due to Covid-19, Spirit Bear Lodge along with nine other wilderness tourism operators that work in the Great Bear Rainforest were part of a large coastal clean up effort.

The Great Bear Rainforest is the largest intact temperate rainforest on the planet. But what does that mean? Or look like?
